Material Handler

The role will include unloading steel components and loading finished fabricated items predominately using a side loader forklift. Labelling and placing materials and supplies in stock. Verifying materials against requirement on production/sales order and ensuring all documentation relating to stock and location movement is completed correctly.

Carry out daily checks of material handling equipment.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Counterbalance Forklift B1 certificate is essential, B2 certificate is desirable.
  • Side Loader forklift experience (essential)
  • Overhead Cranes certificates (desirable)
  • Ideally experience of carrying out the role within a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

The role requires manual handling and involves working both in the Yard and Workshop areas.

The Hours of work will be: 39 per week

Monday to Thursday 7.15 am to 4.15 pm, Friday 7.15 is to 12.15pm. Overtime is available at busy times with enhanced rates.

Salary : £10.45-£10.95 per hour
