What we are looking for: We are looking for a professional and experienced Technical System Assistant to join our growing Technical team. As a Technical System Assistant you will ensure the businesses food safety standards, ensuring procedures that form our quality systems are followed, supporting with audits from customers and BRC, and Technical administration Key responsibilities as a Technical System Assistant will be to: - Issuing non-conformance reports to a network of alliance suppliers, and/ or service providers. - Ensuring close of non-conformance reports, and that the suppliers, and/ or service providers are implementing preventative measures. - Approval of new suppliers and service providers, ensuring our conditions of supply are met and completed by the provider. - Approval of supplier specifications, creation of associated product code within an ERP system, and upload to our Food Supplier Management Software - Foods Connected. - Monitoring of supplier performance, and service provider performance. - Audit scheduling and supporting the Technical Manager with audits such as Red Tractor, MSC, and BRC. - Answering of day-to-day quality and food safety questions, via email. - Assisting with shelf-life validation, micro-analysis, and specifications for NPD lines. - Participate in internal and external audits. Required experience/expertise to succeed as a Technical System Assistant will include: - Internal Audit Certificate - Essential - Experience within a technical or quality role. - Acting as a technical expert in terms of food safety processes, supplier approvals, and non-conformance resolutions. - Ability to manage relationships with suppliers, customer, service providers and internal staff members. - Working understanding of SAP or similar ERP system. - Working understanding of Excel and other Microsoft packages. - Capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision. - Ability to think laterally, problem solve and work in a fast-paced environment. - Food Safety or HACCP certification.
