**Kitchen Supervisor

  • Assist the manager when required:

  • Planning menus to have an input/idea with the seasonal menus.

  • Daily specials to have input/ ideas but also, they are to be agreed with the catering manager as allergy and calorie sheets will need to be done for any special.

  • Ordering from KFF/ Tesco/ Nesbit’s

  • Receiving deliveries

  • Checking and storing deliveries make sure food is stored on correct shelving and has arrived undamaged this is for health and safety.

  • Checking Invoices / Delivery notes making sure what’s been delivered is on the delivery notice.

  • Oversee the staff that are on shift the weekends you work. Checking all food that leaves the kitchen for servery, kids parties, football, rugby, cricket and functions is to a high standard

  • Train new staff on the menu

  • Complete kitchen inductions for new staff

  • Have the ability to be flexible and adaptable when the need arises and have the confidence to make sound business decisions

  • Make sure all checklists are complete when you’re on shift this includes the weekly cleaning check lists this includes checking all pieces of equipment are off at the end of the shift. All surfaces are clean and all fridge/ freezer temperatures are completed at the end of each shift.

  • Monitor all wastage and make sure this is logged on the wastage sheet so this can be processed at the end of the month for accounts.

  • Preparing daily food - Sandwiches, paninis, baguettes, cakes, flapjacks, children’s food and food for the breakfast/ main menu.

  • To cook food for the breakfast and main menu everyday

  • Providing emergency cover in cases of absence

  • Preparation and cooking of food for the Old Pauline Sports club and their guests

  • Preparation and cooking the of food for football, cricket, rugby, croquet and week end meals

  • Produce buffet/function meals to a high standard either on own or with help of an assistant

  • Produce basic meals (chillies, curries etc.)

  • Adhering to dress code at all times. This will be black trousers/ chef jacket/ non slip crocs or safety shoes and hair nets.

  • Adhering to the cleaning check list within the Kitchen, Servery & Bar Areas

  • Adhering to all Health, Hygiene & Safety procedures

  • Adhering to all Club procedures

  • When the kitchen has quite times go into the bar area and assist the bar operatives if need be.
