What you will be doingYou will be actively involved in various aspects of the council’s development.Your primary responsibility will be to apply your expertise in change management and people management to ensure we’re helping managers deliver meaningful change. You won’t be confined to a specific area; instead, you'll work on projects with the HR Change Management Leads that cater to a broad range of customer bases, ensuring we meet diverse requirements.On a day-to-day basis, you'll work with our people managers, providing them with support to manage change effectively within their teams.Building and maintaining relationships is crucial. Working alongside our HR Change Management Leads, you'll be liaising frequently with our HR Business Partners, Organisational Development teams, and other internal colleagues. The aim? To jointly develop effective and sustainable change strategies that integrate well into our processes.Lastly, you'll work with teams across the council to ensure that our change-related policies and guidance are current and effective.About youYou are a highly organised people professional who thrives in delivering employee relations with an interest in change management. Your ability to work independently while maintaining a flexible approach allows you to adapt seamlessly to changing circumstances. Your communication skills enable you to present information in a concise and engaging way. Your ability to grasp and interpret people management policies and practice, especially those tied to change, is strong. This ensures that all changes align with employment law and are consistently applied.You possess a keen understanding of how individuals react during periods of change, and more importantly, you know how managers can best support their teams during these times.You will have a CPID level 5 qualification and/or relevant experience in an HR role, demonstrating your expertise in employee relations and change management alongside an understanding of relevant employment law.
