Housekeeper

Smallbrook Care Home is a 41-bed Residential Care Home specialized for Dementia. We have an exceptionally hardworking workforce and are looking to recruit a housekeeping assistant to join the team.

The vacancy is for 36hrs a week, with alternate weekend working. The basic salary is £10.50 per hour, £12.00 per hour at the weekends. Additional £1.50 paid of any overtime hours.

• To ensure the environment is clean and hygienic.
• To maintain a high standard of appearance to the environment.
• To respect resident’s privacy and dignity at all times (including the residents possessions)
• To clean all allocated rooms including furniture, fittings, fabric, carpets and equipment.
• To be aware of the residents’ laundry needs.
• To be adhere to health and safety policy.

Essential

• Genuine interest in working within a caring environment
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Team Player
• Willingness to participate training programs.
• Satisfactory DBS
• Basic understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act.
• Good understanding of Infection Control.
• Ability to understand what the role entails.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• To have an understanding of dementia.
• To be able to prioritise work load.
