We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Finance Accountant to join our Treasury Accounts department.
On a day to day basis, you willprovide lending covenant and compliance reporting for internal and external stakeholders. You will oversee the day to day and month end treasury function and assist Treasury Manager in raising and servicing bond and loan finance. You will compile reports for senior management and board to demonstrate compliance with treasury management policy.
You will also prepare statutory accounts for some of our subsidiaries and liaise with auditors where necessary. You will assist with the production of the annual 30-year Business Plan and be an active part of critical projects.
It is important that you can work proactivelyand flexibly as a member of the wider team supporting others and responding to business needs.
This role is being offered on a full time , permanent basis and will be based in our Exeter office. A hybrid working style is an option.
About The Candidate
To be considered for the role of Corporate Finance Accountant, you will have the skills, knowledge and experience required for a Level 1 - Team Member role, along with the below role specific requirements:
  • Excellent customer focus and ability to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to use and manipulate complex accounting systems.
  • Ability to prepare statutory accounts.
  • Communicate confidently and clearly, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial people.
  • Extensive use of Microsoft office applications in a business environment, particularly Excel.
  • Experience of report writing.
  • Promote the team with a positive and adaptable outlook combined with a can do attitude.
  • Relevant Finance/Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) (or relevant equivalent expertise through experience and study).
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Educated to degree level. (D)
