System Administrator (Linux) | Hybrid or Remote | To £50k + bonus
I am working with a Nottinghamshire-based software company who are looking to strengthen their growing Infrastructure Team by bringing on a System Administrator to support their growth. You will need to have a strong background in Linux to be successfulin this process.
You're going to be a crucial part of their IT team as they look to maintain their storage, servers & software upgrades. You'll be actively seeking to improve the current infrastructure and be equally as happy working individually as you are part of a team.You'll be fluent with Linux operating systems (Red Hat preferably). You will be working with VMware clusters using vSphere for upgrades, administration, development, maintenance, and creating and removing other VMs.
Your experience will have seen you using tools and services such as Ansible, Zabbix, Confluence, Jenkins, and Jira. You'll be looking at the cloud infrastructure the business uses (Azure and AWS) and ensuring that systems are running as efficiently as effectivelyas possible. Network and infrastructure software analysis, and upgrades are an integral part of this role as well.
Further down the line there may be some on-call work (paid on top of salary) and some flexibility required around hours of work.
