WHAT KIND OF WORK WILL I DO?

Working with a DHL team within a small warehouse in a prison setting working on the Retail contract directly for HMPPS/Ministry of Justice (MOJ). Working alongside offenders, enabling them to pick, pack and distribute orders. Apprentices will play an integral and empowering role in offender's lives, where you will work with a diverse team to support their rehabilitation in a warehouse environment.

  • Completing one to ones with the Offenders
  • Guiding them through Safe systems of work and processes within the warehouse environment
  • Resource planning - ensuring all roles within the warehouse domain are covered in order to process all of the daily orders.
  • Ensuing stocking levels are correct to meet daily demand from suppliers.
  • Continuous Improvement - working leaner and smarter
  • Ensuring compliance of process for MOJ regulations

WHAT WILL I LEARN ON MY APPRENTICESHIP?

Working to achieve a Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management with Aston University, you will cover the below areas and many more.

WHAT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS DO I NEED?

  • 260 UCAS points (104+UCAS points from Sept 2017 under the new UCAS tariff system)
  • Completion of a level 3 Apprenticeship/Professional qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Must be fluent in English
  • You must have achieved G.C.S.E.s in Mathematics and English with Grade C and above/4-9 or have a achieved Level 2 Functional skills in both English and Mathematics
  • As part of the Supply Chain Leadership Degree Level 6 Apprenticeship, you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years as it is a government funded apprenticeship programme

  • Compensation : £23,000 per annum starting salary. As an Apprentice your salary will increase throughout the programme.
