Experienced Social Workers - Children with Disabilities, Assessment, Fostering, Court, Adults in Bedford Full time locum roles on ongoing basis. Rates £34-£40, depending on the role and experience. Experienced Social Worker You will be working in a Children with Disabilities Team where you will hold a caseload of Children in Need, Child Protection, CLA and children subject to court proceedings. Caseloads are manageable and you will receive high quality regular supervision. It is a very supportive team. This post is for 4 days per week. Experienced Social Worker You will be working in a Children with Disabilities Team where you will hold a caseload of Children in Need, Child Protection, CLA and children subject to court proceedings. Experienced Social Worker Assessment Team Experienced Social Worker Essential experience in completing SGO, Connected person and Foster carers assessments respectively. This role is for an experienced fostering assessor. The work of the fostering team is to recruit and assess fostering applicants and to support approved foster carers and connected carers. We also undertake private fostering assessments. We work closely with professional support teams around the child/ren. We provide a comprehensive package of support and training for foster carers. We carry out annual foster carer reviews to review their last 12 months of practice. The fostering team identifies placements for looked after children and young people. The fostering team undertakes Family Finding for children requiring permanent foster placements. We undertake Nominated carer assessments of members of the foster carers network. We undertake Initial Viability assessments, Special Guardianship assessments and post SGO support plans. This role requires an experienced supervising social worker who has an experience in assessing carers like mainstream foster carers, SGO or family friends carers. Experienced Social Worker We continue to work in a hybrid manner, but need people in the office at least once per week and all visits are face to face. This team covers CIN, CP, PLO and Care Proceedings until conclusion so we are looking for SW's who are experienced across these areas Senior Social Work Assistant Unqualified workers required to support the Adult Services Contact Team - Bedford Borough Council's Front door for Adult Services Must have excellent communication skills as dealing with members of the public both face to face and over the telephone Must be able to drive and have use of a vehicle Must be able to work from Borough Hall as required Knowledge of Social Care would be advantageous This role supports the Contact Team for Adult Social Care, successful applicants will be dealing with phone calls and other communication from Service Users, families, professionals and colleagues. Assessing and Reviewing Service User's to identify eligible needs This role involves a substantial amount of time spent on the phone supporting people who contact our service and an excellent telephone manner is required Experienced Social Worker The team needs an experienced Social Worker who is confident and experienced in Court work - this is essential. The team cannot offer reduced or condensed hours - This doesn't work in a Family Support Team for case holding SWs. Home working does occur but the SWs are in the office when on duty or back up and that they come to Bedford to deal with anything that comes up for the children allocated to them. This team covers CIN, CP, PLO and Care Proceedings until conclusion so we are looking for SW's who are experienced across these areas Social Worker The Adult Services Contact Team, which is providing a new front door duty service is seeking a full-time social worker (37hrs) with a minimum of one years post qualifying experience. The role will be generic and involve working in collaboration with a range of service users and their carers, using a strengths based approach to assess their needs, in accordance with the principles of the Care Act and other key areas of legislation on a daily basis. You must be able to manage a busy workload and thrive in this type of environment.
