Due to continued growth the position of Construction Design Manager has become available to join our successful team based in Heathrow . As Heathrow embarks upon its 7th regulatory period "H7", Costain was awarded two lots as Major Project Partner and Asset Renewal Partner for Terminal 2 - The Queen's Terminal. Costain are the Major Programme Partner (MPP) The T2 Baggage Programme (T2BP) and the Asset Renewal Partner (ARP) for Terminal 1 and 2 on the AM+C programme, which are two of the six major programmes of work that Heathrow have committed to deliver within the H7 quinquennium. Costain will collaboratively deliver transformation safely, efficiently, and sustainably with an expert team enabling Heathrow to meet its objectives. This role will sit within the Design Management team for Costain and will report to the Senior Project Manager (Head of Design) or Senior Design Manager. A Design Manager familiar with Construction, Shell and core and fit out activities is required to work with the Design Management team to proactively manage the design of Building Construction (Anything from Shell and Core to Fit out) works within the Terminal building including management of permanent works designers, specialist designing subcontractors employed by the ARP to achieve design solutions that are safe, constructible, suitable for the operational environment, high quality, innovative, and are commercially advantageous.
