Octavius Regional Civil Engineering are looking for Civil Engineering Placement Students to join our Team.    About Octavius Regional Civil Engineering: We have been delivering civil engineering and  associated services as an for more than 30 years. Our clients include the major highway providers (such as Highways England, Balfour Beatty,  Skanska and Kier Strategic Highways) along with local authorities and the Ministry of Defence. We also contract on rail projects, working directly for Network Rail.  Our planned civil engineering projects typically involve all aspects of road construction including drainage, earthworks, kerbing and other associated activities. We also respond to emergency requests such as embankment  failures and flooded carriageways. Our rail business focuses on civil engineering on and around railway stations and structures, such as bridges.   Position Overview: As a Placement Year Student at Octavius Regional Civil Engineering , you'll embark on a journey of learning, exploration, and real-world application of your engineering skills. You'll work alongside industry experts on diverse projects, gaining invaluable experience and insights into the world of infrastructure.     Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with our engineering team on real projects, contributing fresh perspectives and innovative ideas. Engage in hands-on tasks related to design, analysis, and project documentation. Assist in on-site inspections, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations. Contribute to feasibility studies, research, and project planning. Experience various facets of Civil or Electrical Engineering within a dynamic and supportive environment.   About you…. (what you are skilled at) Pursuing a degree in Civil  Engineering. Strong academic background and a passion for the infrastructure sector. Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute actively to projects. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Proficiency in relevant software/tools is a plus.
