We are currently working with a client school in Redbridge, conveniently located near Fairlop Station, to recruit a passionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their SEN Department.Client School Overview: Our client school is a mainstream secondary school committed to providing outstanding education and support to all students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). They pride themselves on fostering an inclusive environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our client school's SEN Department. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pupils with special educational needs, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and can achieve their full potential.Key Responsibilities:Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN, both inside and outside the classroom.Assist SEN students with their academic work, helping them to understand and complete tasks.Support the SENCO and teaching staff in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.Collaborate with teachers and other LSAs to ensure the needs of SEN students are met effectively.Help SEN students develop their social skills and independence, both in and out of the classroom.Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior, and provide feedback to the SENCO and teaching staff as required.Requirements:Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEN, is desirable but not essential.A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs and helping them to achieve their full potential.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.A patient and empathetic approach, with the ability to adapt to the individual needs of each student.A willingness to undergo relevant training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge in working with SEN students.Graduates are preferred, but candidates with relevant experience and qualifications will also be considered.Must be willing to work full-time, Monday to Friday.Benefits:Competitive rates of pay, paid weekly through PAYE.Opportunities for career progression and development, with support provided for aspiring teachers looking to take the next step in their career.A supportive and inclusive working environment where every member of staff is valued and respected.Immediate start available, or September start for suitable candidates.Tradewind Recruitment is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
