Joining us will provide you with unparalleled access to training opportunities, continuous CPD, peer support groups, and a robust supervision and appraisal system.We are currently recruiting to an Adult Consultant Psychiatrist position at Kahlo Ward, Goodmayes Hospital, Barley Lane, Ilford, IG3 8XJ.You will join another full-time Consultant Psychiatrist, a Senior Trainee, 1wte Core Trainee, 1wte Foundation Year trainee, and a physician associate within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.Why Acute and Rehabilitation Directorate (ARD)? Detailed job description and main responsibilities You will be expected to: Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to adult people with mental health needs, within the inpatient setting.Provide senior medical support and guidance to the teamWork directly with adults and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external mental health providers and acute hospitalsParticipate in the on-call rota frequency is currently 1:50, with a 3% of basic salary, Category A on-call supplement.Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiativeWork alongside 1wte Consultant Psychiatrist, 5wte Senior Trainee, 1wte Core Trainee, 1wte Foundation Year trainee, and a physician associateCommit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.
