Civil Design Manager / Senior Civil EngineerLocation: NE/NW EnglandRate: 35 - 42 per hourDuration: 6 months +Start date: ASAP / June 2024Our client is an international engineering & construction organisation who have strong pipelines in the major renewable energy and power generation sectors, across the UK / Europe and are rapidly expanding.Turner Lovell is looking for a Civil Design Manager to lead the Civil & Building design scopes of work on major renewable energy projects, throughout the UK. The role will also involve managing and supporting internal teams (design, commercial & site construction) to deliver the projects, collaboratively.This is an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of renewable energy infrastructure projects, secure stability in a long-term contracting role and work with a world class, international team to deliver complex engineering and construction solutions.Duties: To manage and deliver the design scope & process for the civil/building works of multiple infrastructure projects throughout the UKTo ensure designs from all teams are technically correct and timelyValue Engineering (Constructability, time, cost, quality)To chair design review and clarification meetings, keeping the team informedDraft Scope of Services and Works documentation, design schedules, (hand calculations, spreadsheets, and software knowledge).To act as the point of contact for internal designers, clients, partners, and consultants throughout the projectTo adapt and manage any change management, assess contractor value proposals and any requirement changes.Identify when design proposals will be subject to Building Regs and ensure the technical solution is included in any proposals.Requirements:5 years of civil / structural design experience, within the UKExperience working on earthworks, Specification for Highway Works, and Fire Design packagesComputational frame design software working knowledge (Tedds, STAD-Pro, Masterseries)Knowledge of consenting process (TCPA, DCO, Environmental Licensing, CAR)Chartered Engineer, or equivalent experienceQualification in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering (or any other associated discipline)If this sounds like it could be your next challenge on a large-scale energy project and you are available ASAP, please apply or contact Maddie Jacob at (url removed) / (phone number removed) for further information. #J-18808-Ljbffr
