Part Time Sports Centre Sales Team Member

Job Title :Sports Centre Sales Team Member**

Location :The Sports Centre, Sherborne School

Reporting To :Sports Centre Manager

Hours of Work :This is a part-timerole (16 hours per week), 5 out of 7 days. Key sales times are between 10.00 am and 8.00 pm daily, including weekends. The team member can be flexible in terms of working hours and work with the Sports Centre Manager to determine optimum working hours.

Salary : £9,193.60 per annum, to be reviewed annually. Commission will be paid upon sales and retention.

Holidays :You are entitled to a pro-rata of 5 weeks paid holiday per year plus bank holidays.

• Core Responsibilities :_

Sports Centre Team Member responsible for generating sales income. The key focus will be on membership sales both via recruitment and retention activities. The team member will also support sales of other services such as facilities booking, parties, holiday activities. Excellent customer service and champion of the Sherborne Sports Centre. In particular:

• Generate membership sales by servicing potential members through professional phone contact or face to face encounters. Deliver personalised tours and be well versed to explain different membership offerings.
• Investigate lapsed or deleted members issues by contacting them and inquiring about possible reinstatement; attempt to resolve members issues within club policy.
• Participate in Sports Centre Events and act as a champion for the centre leveraging opportunities to expand the number of members by using appropriate sales techniques.
• Support team members with sales of spaces and activities across the range of activities at the Sherborne Sports Centre.
• Perform administrative functions relating to the enrolment of new members accurately and on a timely basis.
• Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes Required :_
• A track record of proven sales experience would be an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to interact in a professional and articulate manner with a wide variety of stakeholders is essential.
• An up to date understanding of industry practices and standards will be expected.
• A team player who leads by example and strives to exceed targets.
• Self-motivated
• Good customer service attributes including being professional, polite and able to act as an ambassador for Sherborne Sports Centre.
