If so, we want you to join our Mechanical team in Nottingham!Based in the heart of Nottingham, our office is situated next to the National Justice Museum and benefits from excellent transport links and nearby parking. Our welcoming and diverse team is working on some of the most prestigious and innovative projects in Nottingham, across the UK and around the world.From leading-edge arts and media facilities such as the Everyman Theatre and Confetti Institute of Creative Arts to major new student residential developments, we are supporting schemes across a huge range of sectors.Working together with a coordinated design team, you’ll help breathe life into our designs by creating mechanical design models and drawings. You’ll have the autonomy to design mechanical services in many sectors of the industry and will be client facing, representing Waterman at all levels. You’ll also get to collaborate with architects, quantity surveyors, project managers and structural engineers from external design teams.This is an exciting time for Waterman as we continue to support the delivery of a net zero built environment, whilst our own journey to net zero also gathers pace. Our innovative and collaborative culture means that you’ll get to work with experts from across our business, and you’ll have the chance to put all the latest sustainable design techniques in to practice.We’d love to hear from you if you are passionate about building services design, have a keen eye for detail and want to help shape the future of both our company and the built environment.Although we’re happy to consider applicants with more or less experience, you’ll ideally have qualifications, experience or skills in the following areas:• Have a relevant degree or equivalent for a career in building services engineering• You’ll be fluent in design software tools such as REVIT and ideally have had exposure to MagiCAD• You’re a great communicator who can adapt to working with external parties and clients whilst gelling with our growing team• You’ll have a deep understanding of project needs and will be able to manage their full delivery• You’ll have recognised qualifications in mechanical services design and will either be working towards chartered status, or have an interest in doing so• You’re happy working both autonomously or as part of a team to support the delivery of projects• Experience of managing people would be an advantage• You’re happy to be flexible - We take a collaborative approach to delivering our projects and you’ll be happy travelling and working with colleagues from across WatermanJoining our team will give you:• Competitive salary and benefits package with annual salary reviews• 26 days holiday per year, rising to 31 days with loyalty days, plus bank holidays• Hybrid working arrangements• Fantastic training and development culture• Access to mentoring support from industry experts• Opportunity to play a key role in exciting and varied projects• Fast-tracked career progression for the right candidates
