We are looking for a KS2 Teaching Assistant to join our team and work at a Primary School in Blackpool, Lancashire.

As a Teaching Assistant working, your duties may include :

  • Assist the classroom teacher with lesson planning and preparation.
  • Lead small group or individual instruction as assigned by the teacher.
  • Provide additional support to students who need extra help.
  • Help supervise students in the classroom, playground, cafeteria, and other areas.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
  • Assist with record keeping and other administrative tasks.
  • Prepare teaching materials and classroom displays.
  • Assist with setting up and tidying up the classroom each day.
  • Supervise students on field trips and other school-sponsored activities.
  • Provide individual attention to students who need extra help

The requirements for this role are :

  • GCSE English & Maths
  • Preferably qualified to an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working with children
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with students, parents and staff
  • Possess strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of classroom procedures and policies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
