Weighbridge Operator

Our Client is looking to hire a Weighbridge Operator.

They produce high quality pig and animal feed for piglets or game animals in their Melmerby Mill. They take raw materials, ingredients, supplements and additives turning them into feed pellets. Their Mills are clean, dry, well laid out, quieter than youmight think and mostly smell really sweet due to the milk powders used for baby animals.

You will have responsibility for those goods and raw materials that come in and out of their Mill and responsibilities will include :

• Managing weighbridge tickets in and out of the mill
• Collecting samples from incoming items, finished goods and raw material bins ensuring they are stored and checked as per procedure
• Carry out testing of samples using in-house measuring equipment
• Manage data and information on both bespoke systems and excel as well as completing, filling, and maintaining paper records
• Maintain allocated work area to a high standard

This is a great opportunity for someone who like working in a Mill/Manufacturing environment with a great team but looking for a role that’s slightly less physical. This is a key role within their team and requires a high level of attention to detail, abilityto be organised and carry out repetitive tasks.

They are in a rural location so you will need to have your own transport to access their site.
