Field Service EngineerOur client specialises in selling new and used machinery into the Construction and Industrial industries and then aim to provide those machines with the finest level of product support.Core Hours: 40 hours working week, 08.00 – 16.30 hours. One in eight week on call rota.Main Purpose of the Role:The main duties of this role are Machine Plant Diagnostics, Servicing and Repairs to the construction, Agricultural, Industrial, Heavy Line and Recycling Equipment to the highest standard within the Dealership territory to new and existing customers.This is a customer facing role which requires you to build strong customer relationships within the service sector of business. You will need to promote and present a professional image and offer service solutions to our clients customers and frequently liaise with the Manufacturer. The objective of this role is to provide the customer with World Class customer service.Duties: Build strong and positive relationships with the customerBuild and document knowledge about the customer company and its technical operationsFeedback any important customer information to the companyTo promote the organisation and the brand to new and existing customersTo carry out repairs to the highest standard to provide a “First Time Fix” to the customerPossess excellent laptop computer technical diagnostics skillsExcellent operation of the PDA unit to input job information and write-up dataContinually look to develop yourself through Company Training CoursesService and maintain equipment to the Manufactures specificationsMaintain and improve our profile in the market placeProvide World Class Customer Service and p resent a professional image at all timesCarry out all work practices in line with company health and safety policy Essential: Minimum of an NVQ 2 in plant engineering, servicing and maintenance.Knowledge of the Plant industry environment or similar industryExperience on hydraulic systems, open and closed loop, axles, transmissions manual and power shift, cam-bus electrical systems and working on machinery.Remote working roles need to be technical specialists with industry experience to be able to work remotely independently and competentlyHighest spec of technical product knowledge and skillsetPortfolio of certification/achievements requiredExcellent understanding and deliverance of a World-Class service to the customerProfessional customer facing skillsetExcellent ability to work under pressure with flexibility to meet the needs of the customerClean driving licence and good driving recordProof of right to work in the UK Attributes: To communicate efficiently and express your ideas clearly and confidently at all levels verbally, in print and via the telephoneTeamwork, ability to work confidently within a group and on own initiativeAnalysing and Investigating, ability to gather information systematically to establish facts and principles for problem solvingFlexibility, ability to adapt successfully to changing situations and environmentsInitiative and Self-Motivation, ability to act on initiative, identify opportunities and be proactive in putting forward ideas & solutions Benefits Attractive rates of pay and overtime ratesAuto-enrolment pension scheme22 days paid holiday + bank holidays + 1 day for every 5 years completed serviceCompany sick pay schemeOvertime -first 4 hours at time and a half rate, over and above first 4 hours double time rateCall out – initial payment of £50.00 normal working week, £75.00 bank holiday working week and £100.00 Christmas period for being on call. If called out any hours worked would be first 4 hours at time and a half rate, over and above first 4 hours double time rate. Frequency of rota system varies from depot to depot and would be discussed during the interview process with the relevant Depot Manager.
