Position : Test Team Leader

Location of Office : East Leeds

Location of Work : Flexible Hybrid Work from Home

Salary :Up to £65,000 + benefits

The Role :A new position has now been created for Test Team Leader to join our clients growing Engineering team in their East Leeds based offices. Our client design, develop, test and manufacture a range of electronic devices that are you used around the world to help improve people’s lives.

They offer very flexible hybrid working and, in this role, the successful Test Team Leader will have the chance to head up a team of 5 Test Engineers whilst developing new automated test plans for a variety of hardware and software products. Experience in an electronics design and development environment is required whilst any knowledge of electronics or embedded software design would make your CV stand out.

This will be a hands-on role and you will be the technical lead across all matters testing and validation whilst leading a team of test engineers covering manual and automated testing procedures. You will have an in-depth knowledge of test and validation, be a strong communicator and be keen to develop new automated testing procedures.

Skills and Experience Required :

  • Experience in an electronics systems or electronics device testing environment
  • Experience in a Test Lead or Test Manager role
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing
  • Test scripting in Python, Labview or C/C++

Being a technical lead role you will be expected to work closely with other technical leads and project managers, contributing towards project planning, test planning and recruitment. This role will give the successful Test Team Leader the chance to make a real impact in the development and testing of a range of new devices that will be used around the globe to improve people’s lives.

Desirable Skills and Experience :

  • Knowledge of hardware design and measuring instruments
  • Experience with automating test results into dashboards
  • Testing of communication systems including RF, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc
